Le Ali dell'Italia è un viaggio autobiografico nel mondo di chi vola per mestiere. Viene svelato, attraverso gli occhi del pilota, ciò che non si può vedere. Quello che c'è dietro la porta chiusa, blindata dall' 11 Settembre 2001. I pensieri  si mescolano agli oggetti e danno significato ad un piccolissimo mondo, la cabina di pilotaggio. E poi il mondo sospeso, che è la vita del navigante, la cui casa è la valigia. Un tentativo di ristabilire l'equilibrio di un   mondo di cui l'immaginario collettivo  si è a volte appropriato distorcendone i contorni.
